Bible Journaling 101…

When I came across my new bible..it was like the stars aligned. I was eager to express my faith and felt starved for commitment and communication with God. I felt like I was bursting with my love and admiration for life and couldn’t figure out where to put it all!! And then I saw these beautiful bibles, with illustrated pages for me to color. Then I saw beautiful Christian inspired art supplies to take the creativity even further. It was like a bell went off and I couldn’t wait to get started!!

It has helped me tremendously. I have always needed a creative outlet. And I have always had a deep, personal need for God, but I felt lost sometimes when I wanted to study the Bible. So this has been my savior. I do my daily devotional and then look up the verses assigned to it. Then I get creative! I paint, use stickers, draw, use card stock, stamps… you name it. Sometimes I just do a little and then add to it later and eventually I’ll have a beautiful page that I am happy to say is my own.

It makes me feel connected and blessed. I highly recommend to anyone looking to go a little further with their devotionals! It’s spiritual and fun!

So here’s what I chose…

Beautiful Word Coloring Bible...

Jesus Calling Daily Devotional…

And The One Year: Chronological Coloring Bible...

Now my supplies will consist of anything I feel inspired by that I see anywhere:

  • Acrylic Paints
  • Paint Stamps
  • Stickers (Hobby Lobby has amazing ones)
  • Illustrated Faith Supplies (most decorative cards have verses on the back for extra fun bible study!)
  • Bible Highlighters
  • Water Color Paints
  • Chalk Markers
  • Paint Brushes
  • Stamps and Ink
  • Washi Tape

I get supplies from any craft section at any store..Amazon..or your local Christian book store of course!! What’s pictured isn’t even half of it but that is what makes it so much fun.

Let me know what you use! Or if you have any questions feel free to ask!!
